DinoZzz - Sleepy Tab — Privacy Policy

1. Overview

DinoZzz - Sleepy Tab is designed with privacy as a priority. It does not collect any personal data such as browsing history, page content, or user-identifiable information. The extension stores data only locally on your device, with the exception of the anonymous usage analytics described in section 3.

2. What is stored locally

The following data is stored exclusively on your device using chrome.storage.local:

• Original URL and title of sleeping tabs (temporary — deleted when the tab is woken or closed)
• Tab exemption flags (tabs marked as "Keep Awake")
• An anonymous, randomly-generated client ID used for usage analytics
• Your analytics opt-out preference

3. Anonymous usage analytics

DinoZzz - Sleepy Tab uses Google Analytics 4 (Measurement Protocol) to collect anonymous usage statistics that help improve the extension. This is enabled by default and can be disabled at any time via the toggle in the extension popup.

The following events may be sent to Google Analytics:

• extension_installed — fired once on first run
• tab_suspended — when a tab is put to sleep (automatically or manually)
• tab_woken — when a tab is restored
• tab_exempted — when a tab is marked as "Keep Awake"

No personal data is collected. Tab URLs, page titles, browsing history, and any user-identifiable information are never included in these events. Only an anonymous randomly-generated ID is used to distinguish sessions.

Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by Google Analytics: policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Permissions

• tabs — required to detect inactive tabs and redirect them to the sleep page.
• storage — required to temporarily store tab URLs while they are sleeping and to save user preferences.
• alarms — required to schedule automatic tab sleep after 10 minutes of inactivity.

The extension also requests host permission for https://www.google-analytics.com/* solely to send the anonymous usage events described in section 3.

5. Third-party services

DinoZzz - Sleepy Tab uses Google Analytics 4 (via the Measurement Protocol) as the only third-party service. No advertising networks, tracking pixels, or other external services are used. Analytics can be fully disabled via the toggle in the extension popup.
